Pacific Floor Care Celebrates 60 years

(Muskegon, Mich.) – Since it’s inception in 1946, Pacific Floor Care has built its reputation as a provider of quality floor machines. Proudly celebrating sixty years in the floor cleaning equipment industry, Pacific Floor Care has evolved from a niche player into a full line provider that customers can count on for innovative, high quality and durable maintenance equipment for their hard floors and carpets. Its 70 plus products include polishers, burnishers, vacuums, auto scrubbers, wet/dry vacuums, sweepers and other specialty products. Among Pacific’s customers are commercial and industrial, educational, healthcare and hospitality facilities.

The company has come a long way since it was founded in San Francisco, California as the Pacific Floor Machine Company where it produced heavy-duty, single-brush floor machines. Purchased in 1985 from Sam Robin, Pacific became a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Hines Corporation. The next year, Pacific Floor Care relocated Western Michigan, where it remains today.

Pacific is long known for bringing innovative products to the industry, starting with the innovative “Tote-a-Cap” feature on floor machines. In the 1990’s Pacific launched many leading edge products to the market. Pacific first introduced the Mini-Edger floor machine which is able to easily and productively clean tight areas as well as baseboards, a dual-voltage backpack vacuum and the first multi-functional wide area vacuum system. Today, Pacific Floor Care is excited to launch two of its newest products to the commercial floor care industry; the Proteus 26 auto scrubber and the Proteus 210E cord electric auto scrubber.

Pacific’s products are sold through a wide distribution network serving the sanitary supply industry throughout the US, Canada, Mexico and other international locations.
