Why
our Michigan-based company is called 'Pacific'
A lot of folks ask us that,
and our new name -- simply Pacific -- goes back to our roots along the Pacific
coast nearly a half century ago. Known for many years as Pacific Steamex, we've
introduced a new vibrant logo and image that captures our excitement for the future,
as well as pays tribute to our founding in San Francisco in 1946. Back
then, we built "tough as tanks" floor polishers and burnishers, which
many of our customers tell us are the best in the business. We rapidly built a reputation for offering
quality machines at a competitive price, and over the year our business expanded.
Seeing the opportunity for tremendous growth, Pacific was purchased by the Hines
Corp. in 1985, and relocated to Michigan. Over
the years, we broadened our floor care equipment line by acquiring U.S. Floor
Systems' "Steamex" line of extractors and Silver Bullet Manufacturing
Company's propane burnishers. Today,
Pacific offers 70 models of innovative, and quality-built equipment, ranging from
industrial ride-on and walk behind scrubbers, burnishers and polishers, extractors,
vacuums and sweepers. What's
Unique about Pacific equipment
Look, most
machines regardless of brand will clean floors. The real difference
between Pacific and our competitors is twofold: our people, and
the innovation of our products. Our sales representatives are second
to none and will go the extra mile to help you with your cleaning
needs. We also tout a long list of "firsts"
in the industry, such as a dual-voltage AC/DC backpack vacuum, beltless
manual sweepers, a spot and spill extractor with built-in dryer,
and "sweep and scrub" auto scrubbers.
